Welcome to my journey. My life is is not simply about the destinations, but also very much about each day that creates the paths to them. This blog is my attempt to find and record the little things, the beautiful parts of everyday life that we so often miss.
This is also my attempt to grow my photography skills. Although I've loved photography all my life and have dabbled in film since high school, it wasn't until 2009, in preparation for a 3 month trip abroad, that I bought my first DSLR. Since then I've been slowly learning and working to improve my abilities. I shoot with a Nikon D5000, which I love, and a 18-105mm lens. I prefer to shoot with natural light and love the thrill of capturing a moment forever. I certainly still have a ways to go, so I started this blog as a way to both display my photos and to learn from them.
Since then, our little girl came into our life, and this space is now mostly dedicated to recording the journey our little family is now on.
