For my first post, I thought it might be fitting to introduce some of the beauty that is Seattle. At the beginning of July my mom came for a visit and happened to arrive during our one and only week of summer up to that point. Every time Mom comes out we always make our way over to Seattle at least once. We both, of course, love Pike Place Market. She likes to pick up gifts for people back home and I love to people watch and take pictures. The warmth and energy of the city somehow seems concentrated there. I love the crowds, the flowers, the food, the vendors. I particularly love the fact that no matter how many times I take my camera into Seattle, I always come away having seen something new, never having need to repeat a shot. There's always some new art installation, someone performing on the street, or some other wonderful change to discover. That's the beauty of this city. It's always changing.
